追悼、６月２４日に捧ぐ。 『初恋』は、村下孝蔵氏の楽曲で、 1983年2月25日にCBSソニーより発売された。 村下のデビュー4年目、5枚目のシングルA面の曲。のちに同年発売のアルバム『初恋〜浅き夢みし〜』の1曲目として収録された。 作詞・作曲は村下孝蔵本人、編曲は水谷公生。 学生時代、恋をしながら勇気を出せず、告白出来ないままに結局叶わぬ恋としてしまった男性に仮託し、初恋の想い出を歌う。 オリコン3位まで売り上げを伸ばし、村下にとって最大のヒットとなった曲である。 村下自身も代表曲として積極的に歌い、ライブやコンサートでは必ず締めの曲に使用していたほか、テレビ番組に出演する際もこの曲で出演を続けた。 三田寛子など多くの歌手にカバーされている。 ★｢初恋｣をカバーした歌手 三田寛子 （1983年） 今井由香 （2000年） 沢田知可子 （2002年） 中澤裕子 （2002年） 大久保伸隆 （2004年） 平川地一丁目（2004年） 高橋直純 （2005年） Acid Black Cherry（2007年） 佐藤竹善 （2007年） 島谷ひとみ （2007年） 加藤いづみ （2008年） GOING UNDER GROUND（2008年） 杏里 （2008年） 清春 ★村下 孝蔵 （むらした こうぞう、1953年2月28日 - 1999年6月24日）は、熊本県水俣市出身のシンガーソングライター。 淡い恋の歌を得意としていた。 生家が映画館を経営していたため、映画や外国のポピュラー音楽に親しむ。 鎮西高等学校時代には水泳部で平泳ぎの選手として活躍。 さらにベンチャーズや加山雄三のギターテクニックに憧れ、自作のギターを制作するなどしながら、音楽にも傾倒して行く。 高校卒業後、就職した広島ヤマハでピアノ調律師の傍ら音楽活動を開始し、自主製作アルバムを発表する。この頃、広島の音楽好きには知られた存在で、地元の中国放送でラジオ番組なども担当していた。この後も広島を拠点に音楽活動を続ける。 1979年、ソニーレコード（当時、CBSソニー）が主催した、第1回SDオーディションに合格。 同期合格者にはHOUND DOG、堀江淳、五十嵐浩晃がいた。 1980年シングル「月あかり」でデビュー。 その後、地道なライブ活動でファンを獲得した事が実り、1981年「春雨」、1982年に「ゆうこ」が話題となる。 1983年に発売したヒット曲「初恋」は、三田寛子と田尾安志がCMでカバーして話題となった（三田は単独でシングルとしても発売）。 続いて発売した「踊り子」、「少女」、「夢のつづき」も好評であった。 これらのヒットにより、英語を使わずに日本語を用いた丁寧な情景描写による歌詞と、旧来の歌謡曲と洋楽や日本のグループサウンズのメロディーを融合させた様な、繊細かつ親しみやすい曲調を奏でるシンガーソングライターとして認知される。 「初恋」ヒット時、テレビ番組への出演は所属レコード会社の意向で一切無くて控えられていた（実は重度の肝臓病を患っていた）が、本人は至って前向きな姿勢で、後年機会があれば（完治してからは）出るようになった。 とくに、1990年代半ば、憧れだった加山雄三とテレビ番組で共演してからはかなり積極的になり、さらに村下のファンであった山田邦子と意気投合し、彼女の出演している番組に度々呼ばれるようになった。 1999年6月20日、東京駒場のスタジオでコンサートのリハーサル中に突然体調不良を訴え、当初は救急車も呼ばずスタッフ付添のもと自力で病院を訪れたが、診察で高血圧性脳内出血と判明した直後に昏睡状態に陥り、4日後の24日に死去した、46歳没。 曲風と本人の人柄のためか生前はやや地味な存在であった。しかし、作詞作曲能力・歌唱力・ギターテクニックはいずれも非凡であった。 コンサートでは「ひとりベンチャーズ」なるギターソロを披露したこともある。 あまりにも早い死を惜しむ声は今でも多い。 出典: フリー百科事典 『ウィキペディア（Wikipedia）』
