Musical excerpts from a feature film Lehmann made in 1948. Not included is Lehmann leading the entire cast in God Bless America. She had a major part in this very sentimental film. She played a Jewish mother which was quite a feat because she was not domestic at all. Her acting is quite good. Unfortunately the musical excerpts are very short. Full length versions of the songs from the film were issued by RCA. The only opportunity to see her sing while she was still performing. Lehmann was a role model for Schwarzkopf. Schwarzkopf was a role model for Renee Fleming. Fleming has a very nice version of Mariettalied. Life moves on.
