Game Center CX Episode 1 Takeshi no Chousenjou
9:06
The is the Chousen (challenge) segment from the first episode where he plays Takeshi no Chousenjou. I put some text in there for some of the less intuitive parts of the video (since the game is pretty weird), however they might look a little bad because I only have Windows Movie Maker.

Game Center CX: Xevious Trick
1:17
I saw this crazy little trick done in Episode #56 of "Game Center CX", a neat Japanese show about a man who attempts to marathon-run through a series of 8-and-16-bit games.
In this segment, Shinya Arino...the host/gamer of the show...pulls an invincibility trick in the NES game Xevious, and leaves the game to run until the score counter rolls over.
The trick is as follows, and can ONLY be done on a Japanese Xevious cart or ROM:
At the title screen, on controller 2, press Right 9 times, Up 2 times, Left 2 times, and Down 9 times. This will make a number of zeros appear in the upper-left corner. Start the game with controller 1, and you'll be able to manipulate the zeros with the second controller. Set the leftmost digit to '1' and reset the game.
Now, simply start the game with controller 1, and you'll have invincibility.
Thanks to my sister and gin_sweater for the help in figuring this trick out.
Game Center CX Metroid Part 3
7:59
It's getting late and Arino's making his fifth attempt to defeat the Mother Brain. He continues his strategy of getting dangerously close to the boss and hammering the fire button. The fight is dangerously close, and it looks like Arino will die yet again. When suddenly he gets the last shot off and Mother Brain dies, with only 11 energy remaining.
Arino's victory is short lived as he notices the self-destruct message. Not wanting a repeat of the Konami WaiWai World disaster, he quickly begins to make the long ascent to the surface. Tension mounts as Arino keeps slipping and missing platform. Still he persists and ultimately makes it to the final elevator.
Arino sits back and waits for Samus to remove her power suit, and waits, and waits. When the game eventually comes back to the title screen Arino realizes he might have taken too long to get the good ending (and incidentally the FDS version of the game doesn't have 'Justin Bailey' Samus, so he can't even do that to see her without the armor). So while Arino beat the game, he failed his intended goal. During the credits the game's best ending is shown as obtained by AD Sasano.
Game Center CX Ghosts 'N Goblins Part 4
9:12
The next day a very tired Arino manages to blast through the first three levels only to die at the third boss again. Now Sasano and him draw up a strategy to beat it on the whiteboard. The strategy works and it's onto level four. Since the boss is the same as in the previous level Arino can use the same strategy and make it to level five. Here the enemies start murdering him again, but eventually he makes it to this stage's boss: Satan. This one is like a giant Red Arremer, so Arino loses a ton of lives to him. It's back to the whiteboard to formulate a plan, but will they succeed?
Game Center CX Ghosts 'N Goblins Part 2
6:03
The second segment of the challenge. Arino manages to make it to the end of the first level after only a measly 5 hours and 23 minutes. Unfortunately he is immediately killed at the start of level 2. Arino hands the controller off to AD Sasano, who manages to clear the stage and tell Arino about the continue code (previously Arino had been starting from the beginning ever time he got a game over). The clip ends with Sasano handing the controller back to Arnio, because the whole segment was longer then ten minutes.
Game Center CX Atlantis no Nazo Part 5
7:59
Finally Arino clears stage 94 and move onto stage 97. This one is completely different from the rest of the game and Arino has to jump to the top of a vertical shaft, but it doesn't scroll up so he gets lost. Tojima draws a diagram to show Arino where he needs to jump, but his jump is short and he dies. Tojima manages to make the leap of fate, and the path to the final level is clear. The final level is a cakewalk since Arino is invincible. At the end awaits a giant diamond...and Ikki, the title character of another bad game. Apparently this was the Secret of Atlantis.
The episode ends with the changing of the guards as AD Tojima leaves for American and is replaced by AD Sasano
