Freddie Mercury was a great singer and even in his passing he along with the rest of Queen's influence trancends Queen are an English rock band formed in 1971 in London by guitarist Brian May, lead vocalist Freddie Mercury, and drummer Roger Taylor, with bassist John Deacon joining the following year. Queen rose to prominence during the 1970s and are Britain's most successful band of the past three decades.[1]
The band is noted for their musical diversity, multi-layered arrangements, vocal harmonies and incorporation of audience participation into their live performances.[2] Their 1985 Live Aid performance was voted the best live rock performance of all time in an industry poll.[3]
Queen had moderate success in the early 1970s, with the albums Queen and Queen II, but it was with the release of Sheer Heart Attack in 1974 and A Night at the Opera the following year that the band gained international success. Since 1975, eighteen of the band's albums have reached number one on numerous charts around the world. Since 1973, they have released fifteen studio albums, five live albums, and numerous compilation albums.
Following Mercury's death in 1991 and Deacon's retirement later in the decade,[4] May and Taylor have performed infrequently under the Queen name. Since 2005, they have been collaborating with Paul Rodgers, under the moniker Queen + Paul Rodgers, which has led to Queen recording their first studio album in 13 years.
I want to break free
I want to break free
I want to break free from your lies
You're so self-satisfied I don't need you
I got to to break free
God knows, God knows I want to break free
I've fallen in love
I've fallen in love for the first time
And this time I know it's for real
I've fallen in love, yeah
God knows, God knows I've fallen in love
It's strange but it's true (hey yea)
I can't get over the way you love me like you do
But I have to be sure
When I walk out that door
Oh how I want to be free, baby
Oh how I want to be free
Oh how I want to break free
(INSTRUMENTAL INTERLUDE)
But life still goes on
I can't get used to live without, live without, live without you
by my side
I don't want to live alone, hey
God knows got to make it on my own
So baby can't you see
I've got to break free
I've got to break free
I want to break free, yeah
I want I want I want I want to break free ... タグ:freddiemercuryentertainmentnewsqueenlive 投稿日: April 13, 2008, 1:18 pm 閲覧数: 1620 投票: 4.60(5点満点) 11 人の平均
freddie mercury loves nijinsky (based i want to break free)
10:24
The ballet L'après-midi d'un faune (or The Afternoon of a Faun) was choreographed by Vaslav Nijinsky for the Ballets Russes, and first performed in the Théâtre du Châtelet in Paris on May 29, 1912. Nijinsky danced the main part himself.
As its score it used the Prélude à l'après-midi d'un faune by Claude Debussy. Both the music and the ballet were inspired by the poem L'après-midi d'un faune by Stéphane Mallarmé.
Prelude to the Afternoon of a Faun (commonly known by the original French Prélude à l'après-midi d'un faune) is a musical composition for orchestra by Claude Debussy, normally lasting about 10 minutes. It was first performed in Paris, on December 22, 1894[1], conducted by Gustave Doret.
The composition was inspired by the poem L'Après-midi d'un faune by Stéphane Mallarmé, and later formed the basis for a ballet choreographed by Vaslav Nijinsky. It is one of Debussy's most famous works and is considered a turning point in the history of music; composer-conductor Pierre Boulez even dates the awakening of modern music from this score, observing that "the flute of the faun brought new breath to the art of music."[2] It is a work that barely grasps onto tonality and harmonic function.
