I sang all three parts of the famous Tetris music, in succession, in a single take. Then I put them all together here.
While I'm not going to apologize, let it be known that I'm aware of every imperfection this video has! タグ:videogamemusicsingingkorobeyniki 投稿日: March 18, 2007, 6:48 pm 閲覧数: 57241 投票: 4.70(5点満点) 567 人の平均

Rent - Seasons of Love - A cappella (OBC + movie cast)

Rent - Seasons of Love - A cappella (Wilson Jermaine Heredia, Tracie Thoms, Jesse L. Martin, Anthony Rapp) OBC Original Broadway Cast and Movie Cast
=====================================
Early on an unseasonably warm fall morning, the streets of midtown Manhattan seemed blanketed with an eerie calm. But the mood was very different inside Sony Studios, where a crew had been busy since way before dawn preparing a soundstage for the 'Rent' Sessions. Although it was a frenzied few hours, once the cast members began to trickle into the building one-by-one (each accompanied by a mini-entourage of publicists and make-up artists), it was all worthwhile: The set looked perfect and both crew and cast were psyched to get started.
Although each arrived separately to the shoot, it was clear that the cast members who attended - Jesse L. Martin ("Tom Collins"), Anthony Rapp ("Mark"), Tracie Thoms ("Joanne"), and Wilson Jermaine Heredia ("Angel") - had almost tangible chemistry. Cracking jokes, breaking into impromptu renditions of classic songs like 'Midnight Train to Georgia' and 'Why do Fools Fall in Love,' they kept the mood light and jovial throughout the day.
Once they'd all settled in, the performances got underway. First up were Rapp and Thoms, who easily slipped into their characters to sing 'Tango Maureen.' Next, the four cast members (after a brief huddle in the green room to quickly rehearse) ran through 'Seasons of Love.'
The taping ran super-smoothly, with each member sounding focused and strong.
Once their set was done, the group quickly moved into another room in the huge studio for a photo shoot; Afterwards, they sat and briefly answered some questions. During the interview, Tracie Thoms reflected on joining the film's cast, which includes veterans of the stage version of the show including Martin, Rapp, and Heredia. "They just really embraced Rosario [Dawson] and me and it was like we had always been there," she recalled. "They never made us feel unwelcome or hazed. We didn't feel like they were sizing us up or anything like that."
Jesse L. Martin enjoyed the transition from the stage to the film's expansive sets and location shoots. As he put it, "It helped you sort of hone in and focus on the smaller things because all the other physical attributes were taken care of. You didn't have to worry about imagining a set anymore; You didn?t have to worry about imagining a tent city because it was actually there."
Anthony Rapp said the difference between stage and screen explains why several songs from the original score were left out of the film. "There are ways to tell stories on film that you don't need as much language to tell because you can tell it with images, close-ups and reaction shots. The way the story has to move is different."
Martin feels his acting experiences since the stage production helped his performance in the film. "It's amazing to be able to work from that point where you're completely confident in what you're doing," he said. "Some of the best work comes from just that. That was the biggest thing that I learned from the time that we did the show onstage to doing the film."
For Wilson Jermaine Heredia, his 'Rent' character remained a part of him after well after his last curtain call. "That movement never really left my body," he admitted. "Angel has always been right underneath my skin, so that jumping right into the role was really not a problem."
Following the interviews, the day ended on a very mellow note, particularly considering the frenzied atmosphere of the previous hours. With the three other cast members gone, Rapp closed the Session with a beautiful rendition of the ballad 'Halloween.' After graciously thanking the crew, he headed into the early afternoon sun, out onto a crowded block which was as typical of urban New York City as many of the sets in the film he had just performed songs from.
