This is my video response for CheekyChen! :) This one is called 'Bring Him Home' which I wrote about a year ago for a Creative Writing class in high school.
By request, here are the lyrics:
Just six years ago, he got down on his knee
Pledged his heart and soul
Said that he would marry me
Little did I know, he'd be sent across the sea
Two weeks later on, to fight the war for his country
He was drafted for the army and he didn't want to go
But the law could not understand
He was shipped across the ocean to a place he didn't know
He was a stranger in a strange land
Never have I felt so alone
Starting the day he left, he wrote me everyday
24 letters sent across the sea my way
Then the writing stopped on day 25
And to God I prayed that he was still alive
And ever since that 24th day, hadn't heard a trace of news
Cried until I made my eyes ache
Many sleepless nights I've waited, hoping he'd be coming home
And every night I felt my heart break over and over again

Now six years have gone since he has walked this floor
I'm not moving on. I still wear the ring her wore
And that candle next to his picture by my bed

And despite what others tell me, I refuse to give up hope

And I know they think I'm crazy and that I'm no longer same

2) You may submit unlimited songs for consideration.
3) If your song is selected, you must allow me full creative freedom. (don't worry I won't make you look stupid, it's just my reward for working for free).
4) I will choose which songs to do videos to. Comments and suggestions are welcome, and I will take this into consideration, but like I said, I am the one that'll have to listen to it a million times, and I make the rules, so that's one of them :)
5) You can use the video however you want for promotional purposes but it must retain my directorial credit. I may also use the video for promotional purposes... fair's fair.
So that's it I think. I retain the right to change the rules, but don't worry, I'm a reasonable chap.
