out of boredom~ snake vs ocelot (ギアス mix, draft)

This one was truly a spur of the moment (completed in less than 2 hours), one day after watching the final episode of GeassR2. I saw a number of similarities between Lelouch vi Britania of "Code Geass" and many other movie/game characters (anime characters? this guy's in a league of his own). Big Boss was one of those characters, but that'll be for another time. I just wanted to try and mix BGMs from Code Geass with other media. Here's the first one (for now, I have at least two more ideas left): Video: MGS4~ Snake VS Ocelot (Prelude) I had to drop the filesize in order to post it on YouTube... My only other regret is that I couldn't find a video WITHOUT the music. Any ideas? Music: GeassR2~ Memory Museum (Edit) The first part of the video. I was just looking for a "peaceful" track that had a real presence to it, and then I thought about this one. When you think about this track, the original scene, and Liquid's words, everything just kinda falls into place. I took several chunks out of the track so I could get the desired effect when Liquid injects Snake with the Syringe, almost giving an impression of a "revival". It also plays off Liquid as being a honorable villain (an accident, really). Music: GeassR2~ Check Mate (Edit) The second part of the video, played during the majority of their battle. I had fun playing with this one, and it was almost as painful to edit it as I did with "Masquerade"....and this is just a DRAFT! There were a few key points that I focused on when editing this scene: -The start of the battle. I wanted the track to reach its high point as Ocelot yells, "Show me what you've got, Snake!". -"Checkmate" plays an alternate version of "Beautiful Emperor". I tried to play this as much as possible during parts where Snake was getting the upper-hand in the fight. -When Ocelot finally takes off his coat. Music: GeassR2~ Boku wa, Tori ni Naru (Vocal Ver.; Edit) The final part of the video, leading to the game's final battle. This was the scene I worked on first, and I focused more attention on this scene than the other two. It was difficult to edit the song without ruining the mood. Since I was going for something on par with "Metal Gear Saga", I thought of using this song first. I'm quite satisfied with the results. Don't try too hard comparing this scene with Rollo's death scene, though it's interesting to note the birds in the background...and the idea that Snake is trying to "free" Ocelot from Liquid's control.* There were a few key points here, too: -When Snake and Ocelot call out each other's "names". -Yes, I purposely set it up so it blacks out before the song is completely finished. If I had, I would've placed a custom "Metal Gear/Code Geass" crossover title here. Look out for other videos shortly! Later!

Another MGS/Geass mix, this time inspired by the final episode of GeassR2...sort of. Video: MGS4~ Naked Son (Big Boss Appears; Edit) I didn't have the drive to do the entire scene. That, and I couldn't find enough tracks that were suitable for the ENTIRE ending, so I'll only focus on a few scenes (expect one more, at least). Much of the scene's BGM was too loud, so I had to lower the volume (simply cutting it entire made it sound even weirder). I also used sound fades to hide most of the cuts. Music: GeassR2~ Madder Sky (Edit) A very mild edit, I tried to play this one out like the episode's grand finale. Music: Geass~ Stories (Edit) I just wanted something to end the video with. Enjoy!
