Ninpuu Shinobi Change! HAA!
As usual, i'm not a tremendous fan of Hurricaneger. The show was...tolerable until it realllly jumped the shark and introduced probably one of the most obnoxious characters in recent years: Shurikenger.
But enough of that, let's talk about the Hurricane Gyro...
I've always been fond of the Hurricane Gyro. Not for it's looks or anything; I just love changers that need to be manually operated. Most changers, you just press a button and viola...you've just 'changed'. Here you have to press a button and then strike the gyro for the correct motion [something recently used on the Boukenger Accellular]. And weapon fans would get a kick out of this one as well as this doubles as one!
Looks wise, it's a pretty good looking toy. It is the very first toy with the nylon wristband which is a total plus. My only complaint for the looks is how the gold of the Shinobi Medal [which, btw, is made of plastic and not Metal as the coins of Ninja Sentai Kakuranger Doron Changer is so far the only toy to have metal coins] doesn't match the gold of the gyro. That aside, as I was saying, this is a pretty cool looking toy.
This toy has been released in the Power Rangers Ninja Storm line as the Wind Morpher. Though it has been modified for the American market.

Here it is...the very last Hurricaneger Changer! The Shuriken Ball!
The Shuriken Ball was used by Shurikenger [quite possibly the most annoying Sentai hero of all time, but he exists and i've come to accept that]. Shurikenger was different in that, he is merely a master of disguise. He uses the Shuriken Ball to transfrom from one of his disguises into his Shurikenger suit [which is his true form].
Aside from it's unique looks and striking green color, the features on the ball are similar to the Hurricane Gyro. Three sounds [One of which is for Henshin, another is an annoying alarm, and the third being theme music for Shurikenger...which plays twice] and the spinning Shinobi Medal. Though this time around, the Medal isn't manually operated, it's battery operated. Also, only one button is used to activate all the sounds and features. To change the modes you have to turn the dial on the back of the ball. Also included is a strap to hang the ball from your wrist and a clip to clip the ball onto your belt.
The Power Rangers Ninja Storm toy line saw it's own version of the Shuriken Ball: The Cyclone Morpher. While it's easy to assume that the American Version was stripped down, this was truly stripped down. The number of changes to the toy are really not worth listing because unless you experience the Shuriken Ball...I might confuse you.

By popular demand, here is a review for the Deluxe Gourai Changer from Ninpuu Sentai Hurricaneger!
This is the changer used by Kasumi Brothers, better known as Denkousekka Gouraiger [電光石火ゴウライジャー].
The Changer comes with a nylon brace, two Shinobi Medal, and two top pieces to differenciate between Kabutoraiger and Kuwagaraiger. The Gourai Changer has limited sounds unfortunitely. It makes the Henshin sound [the same sound from the show] and the same annoying alarm sound that the Hurricane Gyro makes [check out my Hurricane Gyro review in my channel]. Outside of that, the only feature it does is you press the button on the bottom and the "wings" flip open and make the henshin sound.
An interesting note: This changer is almost verbatim copied from "Jukou B-Fighter". B-Fighter had a Changer of very similar design and function. It even had the wings flip open for henshin...plus an annoying alarm!
Power Rangers Ninja Storm added the Gourai Changer to it's Morpher line. In America it was called the Thunder Morpher. Unlike the previous Wind Morpher, the Thunder Morpher stray from the Gourai Changer. Aside from being much bigger in size, there was a big drop in quality [which was a key highlight for me in the Gourai Changer].

This is my review of the Hurricane Gyro from the Super Sentai series Hurricaneger. This series was great, and the changer is no exception.
The Hurricane Gyro comes with 3 separate discs for each of the Hurricanegers. It has a chrome face with 3 rubber buttons. The 3 buttons are to activate the changer's features. These include Henshin, Alert, and Gyro Shuriken. Henshin is of course used to change into Hurricanegers. Alert is self-explanatory, and the Gyro Shuriken is used as a weapon to shoot out disk-like Shuriken. There are no flaws to be found, and anyone can easily enjoy it. If you're looking to buy a changer, go get this one! I gave it a 5/5.
