This is the secret boss and true identity of Gem.
Solid Arm is the first boss off of the prequel to this game Soul Blazer. Although in that game he was known as Metal Mantis.
This guy behaves similar to when he was in Soul Blazer, there are three converyor belts in the room and you're on different sides. Trust me, this boss can be annoying if you don't know what to do.
Solid Arm has two attacks, one is a long range fireball attack which he can shoot in series of three and that curve to hit you, and he has a short range attack where he swipes his arms at you.
There are two methods of which I know, one is to go up on his side on the opposite end of the room he's on and then keep using psycho slide on him, if done right you will not recieve any damage and hurt him 1. This way is longer but safer. If you wish to be faster then you could do it the way I did it and run up to a conveyor belt just close enough to get a few hits on him and then move away to another when he charges up those fireballs.
