bradley nowell lays it on us. here's the story behind the song (taken from wikipedia) In the early 1990s, Lou Dog disappeared for a week. In the video Sublime — Stories, Tales, Lies, & Exaggerations, Troy Nowell (Bradley Nowell's widow) says that for the week during which Lou Dog was lost, Nowell spent a great deal of time lying on the couch crying in response to the loss of his dog. Lou Dog was eventually returned to Nowell, who, in response to the situation, later covered the Camper Van Beethoven song "The Day That Lassie Went To The Moon" and changed it to "Lou Dog Went to the Moon." While Lou was missing Nowell also recorded this song to his home answering machine as a sort of audio lost dog poster.

Dear Friends, thnx for coming out and supporting the 2006 Flyin' High Koast II Koast Tour. It was f*cking HOT!!! I snapped a lot of bowls and digital pics of tattoos. this was recorded at a skunk records fest in mexico i think. lou is only on for a second but erics dog toby is wasted. i did not film this and i did not get the dogs drunk, i wasnt even there.

Part electronic drumkit and part electric golfcart, the 10th aniversary Lourider is a "Drumcart" named "Diamond in the Rough". The video follows Loudog's journey as he is "Riding High" from a photo shoot in Southern California, through the high desert, and on to Las Vegas where his masterpiece is parked inside the Hard Rock Hotel's casino. Loudog is the first artist to have two drumkits on full display at the internationally known rock museum. "Im honored to see the drumcart standing next to priceless guitars and rock memorabilia from Jimi Hendrix,the Beatles,Carlos Santana,Sublime and Cristina Aguilera's booty shorts". Check out the DRUMCART on the Strange Noize Tour this summer or at www.LOURIDER.net.
