white ブラック thang 1992 - greenhouse effect
2:18
1992
==============================
The lightning Rod , The powder keg cage , the polarizing 'hit' song out of the South Bay from one of undergound pop rock's most catchy clever melodic little hooky trios straight out of the pages of Flipside magazine ; G.E.
'White / Black " as it is known in the Redondo Beach communities and around the world is loaded with twangy guitars, big guitars, big melodies and grand bombastic production...that can only come from the mind of Clark the Shark and G.e. in all his glory ...bassist Rick Carmody was not actually 'in' the band at the time of this now infamous lipsynch video shoot in 92'...legend has it, he may have been possibly 'paid a fee' by Hagins to show up for this video as he was now in another South Bay band or something like that anyway...this song was penned way back in 1990 in the Flipper era g.e. days but was rejected for the album 'Going Legit' as too pop by Carmody and maybe too by Hagins himself....this is a sound unlike ever heard before out a' g.e. or any other band...what with it's in-your-face don't give a shit lyrics offensive and beautifully carefree and manipulatively "naive"....the production is big and gaudy almost like if Styx or Rush tried to be cool...this song was never really played live as their was no band left to play it !!!
It is the centre piece of the later released rock opera from 1995 "White Suburban Liar$ - The Rock Opera"

Additional review
found at www.thegreenhouseeffectband.com
"White Black Thang" or 'White / Black' as it is simply known is the definitive powerful G.E. stance of the 'Final G.E. phase of 1992"...This song is from the fine album "Agenda". An album recorded by Clark Hagins and Clark Hagins alone , playing and painstakenly overdubbing all instruments at Jet City studio in El Segundo California in April of 1992....This song was actually penned by Hagins way way back in 1990 about the same time as 'Waiting for your love to fail" and other 'Immorally Moral' songs.....Hagins kept this song around just incase....the song could have come out on the 1991 album 'Going legit' along with 'Star' and 'Ben is Dead' but did not materialize at that time for what ever reason....This hugely poppy infectuous 'hit' type song dropped onto record store shelves in 1992 to stunned listeners who had never heard the likes of stuff like this from G.E. before....The guitars and melodies are huge but also a tender Byrds like twangy guitar plays along too within the song....the drums are heavy and over-all this is a bombastic spastic big song that goes way way too far perfectly and literally sacrifices itself in the name of fine art ! ...The 'video' for the song is as hillarious 'alternative rock from the 90's" as it gets....bassist Rick Carmody is actually not in the band at the time of the video shoot...he is somehow coaxed by Hagins to appear...sorta as if one last G.e. fun time get together.....European Drummer Pelle Carlson appears in the funny G.e. videos that would close out the career of this grand little trio straight out of Redondo Beach ; The Greenhouse Effect...........in all their rage and syrupy grand over-done glory !!!
Notes; Drummers Greg Tarpley and then Martin Silva would exit G.E in 1992. .... and Pelle would do a pretty damn good job holding it all together at the bitter end....This song would later serve as the center piece of the 16 song retrospective release from 1995 ; "White Suburban Liars - The Rock Opera - The story of G.E. "

Pushing forty, cracks on her skin
Needs to get out, she's ready for sin
All dressed up and no one to blow...
She's so low
Silicon tits and silicon lips
Grammy awards and playing your tricks
Let the champagne flow
And powder your nose
Walking the white line of fantasy
Glamorous life is all you seek
Living in Hollywood make believe
Lost in the clouds of ecstasy
Silicon tits and silicon lips
Grammy awards and playing your tricks
Let the champagne flow
And powder your nose
Walking the white line of fantasy
Glamorous life is all you seek
Living in Hollywood make believe
Lost in the clouds of ecstasy
Feel it, it's knocking on your door
The parasite is ready to strike
Digging for gold
Walking the white line of fantasy
Glamorous life is all you seek
Living in Hollywood make believe
Lost in the clouds of ecstasy

papakonstantinou: willie ブラック boiler man from djibouti
4:43
Στίχοι /Lyrics: Nikos Kavvadias
Μουσική / Music: Thanos Mikroutsikos from the album Southern Cross / Ο Σταυρός του Νότου
Translation into English by: zeena61
Willie, the black boiler man from Djibouti
Willie, the black boiler man from Djibouti,
Right after finishing his night shift,
Would come laughing to find me in my cabin
And would talk to me for hours about strange things.
He told me how they smoke hashish in Algiers
And how they snort white powder in Aden
And how they shout and talk to themselves afterwards
when their grogginess surrounded them with weird dreams.
He told me that one night, after snorting, he had seen
Himself riding horses on the waves of the sea,
And that mermaids with wings were coming after him.
"When we get to Aden", he told me, "you will try it too"
I would give him sweets and razor blades
And I would tell him that hashish is a killer
And then he would laugh out loud and
Lift me high off the ground with one hand.
Inside his huge body he had a soft heart;
One night in the bar "Redjinda" in Marseille
In protecting me from a Spaniard,
He took a blow on the head from an empty bottle.
One day we left him, dry from fever,
Burning up over there in the Far East.
O God of black people forgive the kind Will,
And give him, wherever he is, a little of the white powder.
rubber johnny (original, short バージョン)
3:50
Rubber Johnny is a six-minute experimental short film and music video directed by Chris Cunningham in 2005, using music composed by Aphex Twin. The name Rubber Johnny is drawn from a British slang for "condom" as well as a description of the main character, which explains the title sequence.
------------------------------------------
The concept for Rubber Johnny came from Cunningham imagining a raver morphing as he danced. The idea evolved to the present film, in which Johnny (played by Cunningham) is an isolated deformed (possibly hydrocephalus) teenager kept on a wheelchair and locked in a dark basement with his chihuahua. Given his situation, he spends his life imagining all kinds of musical psychedelia to entertain himself.
The film was originally intended to be a 30 second TV commercial for the Aphex Twin album drukqs, using the track "afx237 v7". However, Cunningham grew to like the concept more and more and decided to expand the concept into a longer length (the original commercial remains in the film in an altered form.) The film was shot partially in infrared night vision on digital video. The film's music is "afx237 v7 (w19rhbasement remix)", a remix made by Cunningham; the credits music is "gwarek2", also from drukqs.
This version starts out with a blinking fluorescent light, then to a mouse crawling over a press-sticker credit, followed by the title, "Rubber Johnny" which is seen on a backwards-playing scene of a condom being pulled off a penis.
Johnny is first seen leaning backward in his wheelchair with his oversized head hanging over the back of it. Johnny mutters a distorted "Aphex." This begins the Aphex Twin track, and Johnny begins to rhythmically follow it, while his dog watches. His dancing involves him performing balancing tricks with his wheelchair, and deflecting light beams with his hands as he dances.
After a minute or so, a door opens and he is interrupted by someone who appears to be his father. During this, Johnny is out of his delusion and is shown sitting upright in the wheelchair, turning to look. His father opens the room's door, yells at him unintelligibly, and slams the door.
After he leaves, Johnny is seen inhaling a large line of white powder. The video then becomes even more erratic and delusional, as if the effect of the powder has not only affected Johnny, but the video's world itself. The music becomes more spasmodic remix of the previous tune, and Johnny now hides behind a door, avoiding the white light beams. Later, he gets his face smashed at high speed into a piece of glass, with the camera watching from the other side so that the elastic-like skin and even some innards can be seen flattening out onto the glass every time. This was done using prosthetic-based special effects rather than digital morphing.
After a while of this, he is interrupted a second time by his yelling father, after which the video ends with Johnny, once again, reclining back in his wheelchair and babbling at his chihuahua. タグ:experimentalfilmaphextwinchriscunningham 投稿日: November 16, 2007, 11:13 am 閲覧数: 35353 投票: 4.30(5点満点) 67 人の平均

The film starts out with a doctor trying to communicate with Johnny who merely babbles in response. At a given point, Johnny manages to just barely leave his incoherent verbal babbling for a moment and mentions that he sees his mother, saying "mm--muhmaamaa." The doctor understands this and asks him if he wants her to come in. When this occurs, he begins to freak out and has to be given a sedative injection.
The scene cuts to a blinking fluorescent light, then to a mouse crawling over a press-sticker credit, followed by the title, "Rubber Johnny" which is seen on a backwards-playing scene of a condom being pulled off a penis.

Harlem Streets (Track 4) & Obnoxious (Track 5) from the second album and sequel 'Revolutionary Volume 2' released in 2003 by MC Immortal Technique.
Lyrics Of 'Harlem Streets':
[Verse 1]
Yeah.... Harlem streets stay flooded in white powder
Like those mother fuckers runnin' away from the twin towers
Gun shots rock the earth like a meteor shower
Bowling For Columbine, fair, giving the media power
Innocence devoured like a chicken spot snack box
Government cocain cooked into ghetto crack rock
Corrupt cops false testimony at your arraignment
Check to check, constant struggle to make the payments
Working your whole life wondering where the day went
The subway stays pakced like a multi-cultural slave ship
It's rush hour, 2:30 to 8, non stoppin'
And people coming home after corporate share croppin
And fuck flossin, mothers are trying to feed children
But gentrification is kicking them out of their building
A generation of babies born without health care
Families homeless, thrown the fuck off of the welfare
[Hook]
Homicide Harlem, BLAOW!, what's the problem?
Homicide Harlem, BLAOW!, what's the problem?
Homicide Harlem, BLAOW!, what's the problem?
Homicide Harlem, BLAOW!, what's the problem?
[Verse 2]
It's like Cambodia the killing fields uptown
We live in distress and hang the flag upside down
The sound of conservative politicians on television
People in the hood are blind so they tell us to listen
They vote for us to go to war instantly
But none of their kids serving the infantry
The odds are stacked against us like a casino
Think about it, most of the army is black and latino
And if you can't acknowledge the reality of my words
You just another stupid mother fucker out on the curb
Trying to escape from the ghetto with your ignorant ways
But you can't read history at an illiterate stage
And you can't raise a family on minimum wage
Why the fuck you think most of us are locked in a cage
I give niggaz the truth, cause they pride is indigent
You better off rich and guilty than poor and innocent
But I'm sick of feeling impotent watching the world burn
In the era of apocalypse waiting my turn
I'm a Harlem nigga that's concerned with the future
And if your in my way it'd be an honor to shoot ya
Up root ya with the evil that grows in my people
Making them deceitful, cannibalistic and lethal
But I see through the mentality implanted in us
And I educate my fam about who we should trust
[Hook Until Outro]
Homicide Harlem, BLAOW!, what's the problem?
Homicide Harlem, BLAOW!, what's the problem?
Homicide Harlem, BLAOW!, what's the problem?
Homicide Harlem, BLAOW!, what's the problem?
