上を向いて歩こう [Ue wo muite arukou] literally "I keep my head up while walking". It´s from 1961 by the honorable Kyu Sakamoto, who made it two years later Nr.1 in the U.S. Billboard charts and remains till today the only Japanese act to do so. This song is still 'the' symbol for optimism in Japan (a country with incredible suicide rates). Sadly but true Sakamoto was killed in August 1985 in the most horrible plaincrash in aviation history (JAL 123). Here's my version.
