Some of my friends and I got the idea to do this in 2005 after discovering how cool lighting 20 something sparklers was. Then we moved to about 250. Very cool with 20ft flame. So last year after the Fourth a bunch of us began buying all the discounted sparklers we could. On Labor day weekend of 2006 we got together to set off the largest sparkler bomb that we knew of. With so many people bringing sparklers it was hard to get a count until we began preparations. As we counted them up we came up with over 9,000! The setup was as follows; for starters we dug a metal 5-gal bucket into the ground and packed it with sparklers. From there we just kept adding more and more on top. Not knowing what this would do we took as many safety precautions as possible; bucket dug into the ground, 10ft fuse, hose on standby, and getting back about 60ft. Wanting to document the event we had four cameras rolling. Two video cameras (one on a tripod and the other hand held) and two digital cameras (also hand held). In the video you hear us say that it lasted 3-5 seconds. Well if you go back and time it it's closer to 10. The flame was 30-35ft, while the plume went much, much higher. We are currently in the planing stages for another one. P.S. I am trying to keep this family friendly. So if you use profanity in your comments I WILL DELETE the comment.

best sparkler bomb ever

Sparkler bomb in dryer, full version. We layed a clothes dryer on its back. We then put a cinder block inside the dryer, and put the sparkler bomb inside of the block. This is the short version of the video. Please excuse the jackass laughing, but this is the best one we've done yet.

This is Probably the biggest sparkler bomb ive seen. My mate made this one, He used about 300 sparklers and wedged them all into a steel pipe, didnt use tape, goes waaaay better. also there was a a bottle of over 1L of petrol next to it! it made one hell of an explosion. If you say its stupid send me a vid of your own to see if its better or shutup. this pwnes your gay flairs you call bombs. chur.

a 225 sparkler sparkler bomb, was pretty decent considering it was only 225 sparklers, couldn't go any bigger than that cause of the small area we had though. A few friends and I originally did it with just 2 packs of sparklers and made a decent size explosion so we went to the firework store and bought 60$ worth of them. Our little sparkler bomb made a nice explosion and here it is and we showed our process of making it. 12 Packs 12 boxes in each pack 6 in each box. 864 Sparklers. Song: Muse- Hysteria update: oh dear god we didnt make it right, and yeah its not a bomb. i get it.
