Two Iowa boys play with thermite and propane, that can't be good!! Listen on the last clip to the camera man yelling "RUN". :) The tank CANNOT explode. There is no oxygen in the tank, so the flame CANNOT get "sucked in" the tank. Nor will it ever happen to an aerosol can for the same exact reason, unless it is a can of oxygen and a fuel of some type. We may be trying just that in a future video, so stay tuned and search Thermite Propane. PS Stop leaving comments about blowing ourselves up, it cannot happen!!

NOTE TO COMMENTERS: 1) thanks for the comments :) 2) im sorry the camera was shaky... if 15 pounds (7 kilos) of molten iron shooting around at less then 10 feet (3 meters) from you doesn't scare you, i dunno what does. 3) i got 15 pounds (7 kilos) of thermite from a magical place called ebay for 60 bucks (about 41 euros or 31 pounds). but, nowadays, ebay (or the gov't) is cracking down on this dangerous shit and it is extremely difficult/expensive to find now. 4) for those who still havent looked on wikipedia and still dont know what thermite is, thermite is a mixture of powdered aluminum and powdered iron oxide, aka rust. normally the mixture is perfectly harmless, but raise the temperature to about 4000 degrees fahrenheit (2200 celsius) and the aluminum rapidly reduces the iron oxide, and, in the process, melts the iron. this reaction is completely self sustaining, even under water, making the reaction literally impossible to stop once initiated. in simpler words: holy shit its hot! UPDATE: in light of recent comments, i have to let you know that this reaction can happen with any metal oxide, so long as the metal has a lower affinity for oxygen than aluminum. matter of fact, it was used to obtain the first pure uranium metal. 5) you gotta love the standard to metric conversions i did for all you good people in the rest of the world... see... not all americans are dumbasses... so someone please comment on it... a simple thank you would suffice... :)
