Me completing Umihara in 6 1/2 minutes. I messed up a lot, especially on the last field, I was actually going for 5 minutes.
The recording I used screwed up the sound, and it played a long, annoying scratching sound. So I put in music.

This little-known Japanese wire-action platformer, with a very well-made rubber wire physics simulating engine, sports a schoolgirl setting out to rid the world of giant mutant fish.
The game is very easy to win, but very difficult to play (try it). This video demonstrates one of the fastest paths to the ending, including quite a few almost impossible maneuvers ― whether playing tool-assisted or not.

There is a structure in the beginning of Field 57 that is kind of fun to mess with. It probably has the shortest width in the game and allows you to do cool swings on it. Similar applications are a certain bridge that breaks, and the seahorses in another field (except that they don't allow your line to wrap around).
Notice how the game doesn't seem to be able to handle wrapping the line around this structure too many times, so it'll just make your line dissapear if you go too far. The game also slows down towards the limit of this line wrap, like your SNES is calculating too much stuff at once.
